Arrival Day
Arrival at the Cascina’s. Explore the properties and the surrounding areas.
* Meet everyone and enjoy an aperitivo before dinner.
* Welcome dinner in the Trattoria Cascina Caldera, featuring local cuisine – this is a
wonderful opportunity to meet your hosts, teachers and fellow guests.

Day One - Sunday
* Why not have an early morning jog or walk though the woods and vineyards?
Early mornings are quite magical in Piedmont.
* Breakfast is typically light Italian, featuring freshly made breads and brioche.
The Italians have a light breakfast so as not to interfere with the appetite
for the incredible lunch and dinners!
* This morning is at your leisure, however if you would like
to explore the local surroundings then we suggest that you participate
in our horse trekking
(or mountain biking) – a great way to see the area.
* After a leisurely
buffet lunch prepared by the resident chef, why not take a siesta for an hour
or so; you are in Italy after all!
* From mid afternoon, Chef Jason, will conduct historical lessons in the kitchen, the first “Culinary
Experience” workshop
(getting to know Piemonte food).
Before dinner Jason will conduct your first wine tasting session. Each
night you will sample wines from different parts of Piemonte. |
Day
Two – Monday
* Exploration of San Damiano market (a typical local market town with a wonderful and vibrant atmosphere)
browse the market and purchase some local produce for the afternoons lesson.
* Lunch will be at an Enoteca (Specialist wine bar) in the town, where we can sample some of the local wines and food.
* On our journey back to the Cascina’s a visit to a local wine producer “La Ribota” where again more local wines can be sampled and purchased if wished.
* Afternoon relaxing time
* Early evening cooking class using some of the produce purchased at the market.

* Dinner in the evening at the Trattoria, al fresco! (weather permitting) |
Day
Three – Tuesday
(Day One for those doing the 3-day program)
* A guided tour of Torino’s famous Porto Pallazo market, a stroll around the city centre in the shopping area under the arcades where Kings and Queens used to walk and coffee in one of the most famous coffee house's in Italy (a luxourious experience!).
* A light Lunch in a traditional Piedmontese establishment.
* An afternoon visit to the amazing Eataly exhibition shop in Lingotto, then back on the bus to the city of Chieri where we will be entertained at another famous local trattoria…………..with again local wine! |
Day Four - Wednesday
3rd Cooking Class – in the Morning
Lunch at our Trattorria consisting of the food that has been made by yourselves.
4th Cooking Class – in the Afternoon
Horse riding for those who wish to
* Dinner in the evening at the Trattoria made by Guido & Jason. |

Five – Thursday
* Morning at your leisure, trip to Asti on the bus if you wish
* lunch in our own trattoria followed by cooking classes in the afternoon.
5th Cooking Class

Day
Six - Friday
* Morning excursion to the charming medieval town of Alba, with lunch in a well known wine bar then over to Barolo and a tour of the famous Enoteca Regionale di Barolo, a tour of the castle and Barolo wine tasting
* Dinner at the well known Michelin Starred “Ristorante Vittoria” in Tigliole certificate presentation with everyone! |
